2014, 2015 and 2016 Australian Session Stylist of the Year, internationally published author and Global Creative director for Rodney Wayne, New Zealand's largest salon group, Sydney based Richard Kavanagh is responsible for developing and interpreting global hair trends through seasonal campaign shoots for hair brands, fashion brands and the world’s fashion magazines.
Inspired by his work travelling the globe creating looks for clients like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Redken, Garnier, and many other fashion, hair and beauty brands Richard’s role as Rodney Wayne’s Creative Director sees him writing and implementing an education and coaching program for the 12 elite artists who impact the lives through training of the 600 or so staff in the group. Developing an award winning culture has been a hallmark of his tenure as Creative Director.
As a hair director at Fashion Week in New York, Sydney and New Zealand, Richard is the go to commentator for emerging trends and has a knack for translating these into easy to understand language for everyone.
